Lee Chung-yong’s goal has brought South Korea level at 1-1 against Uruguay after 75 minutes of the teams’ World Cup second round match.

Lee headed into an unguarded net in the 68th after goalkeeper Fernando Muslera left his line attempting to punch away a looping ball. Muslera made amends in the 71st by saving Lee’s shot.

Uruguay took the lead in the eighth when Suarez shot first-time from a tight angle, after Diego Forlan’s cross from the left flank.

South Korea has dominated the second half in swirling wind and rain.

Forward Park Chu-young shot high in the 51st, and Park Ji-sung’s header was saved by Muslera in the 58th.

The winner plays a quarterfinal against the United States or Ghana.
